Welcome to Education Elevated Sponsorship page.
The projects that are supported by Education Elevated are funded by individual and corporate sponsorships. All funds raised will go to the designated education projects. The goal for the May 2008 Everest Base Camp Trek is to raise funds to cover the wages of 2-3 teachers for a year in the Chyangba Village and for school building repairs. The teachers are paid $100US per month. There are 150 students in the primary school at the Chyangba Village and currently they can only financially support 3 teachers. The cost building repairs are estimated at between $5000 - $7000US.
There are two options of how a contribution can be made to Education Elevated – per foot of elevation gain and a flat rate amount:
Vertical Elevation Gain Sponsor
Contributors can choose to contribute a set amount of money for every foot of elevation that is gained during the trek. The suggested contribution can be as little as 1 penny/ft up to any amount per foot.
For trek ending at Everest Base Camp - 9,000 foot elevation gain
Members of this destination include: Pem Sherpa, Gerri Kier, Dan & Brandi Rush, Lee Sullivan, Marius Klee, Elliott Steward, Julie Lilienkamp and Dave LaMay.
**Dan Rush, Elliott Steward and Julie Lilienkamp will continue on to Island Peak Summit. If you wish to make a contribution to their final destination please go to Island Peak Summit area below.

For trek ending at Island Peak Summit - 11,000 foot elevation gain

Example 11,000’ elevation gained x $0.02 per foot = $220

An individual amount determined by the supporter would also be welcomed.
